THE COMPANY

A grip house with a long memory.

Grip4rigging started with Cees Aloserij in 1967, in The Hague. He was an aeronautical engineer who moved into the booming world of television, building one of the largest selections of specialist camera-mounting equipment in the business. The maxim was simple: if it doesn’t exist yet, we’ll design and build it.

Today Peter van Vugt runs grip4rigging from Rotterdam and Amsterdam, with 32 years of experience as a key grip behind him. He works with a tight crew of grips and riggers — Ivo Reichgelt and Tom Oudijk among them — and keeps the inventory honest: cranes, dollies, stabilizers, vehicle mounts and Ucrane . When the shot needs something we don’t have, we build it.

In memorial of our dear Cees.
